All named individual authors from the group must be named in either the byline or in an accompanying note and must sign copyright release forms. The submitting author must identify any group named as an author in the byline, all members of the group who take responsibility for authorship of the manuscript (named individual authors), and all members of the group who do not take responsibility for authorship of the manuscript but have contributed to the work that led to the manuscript (nonauthor group members). Group AuthorshipĪACR publications follow the Council of Science Editors (CSE) Recommendations for Group-Author Articles in Scientific Journals and Bibliometric Databases. Each co-author may access the submitted manuscript files of each version of the manuscript and see the status of the submission. Each co-author is requested to review their contact information and has a responsibility to read all versions of the manuscript and respond to any requests from the corresponding author that are required for him or her to fulfill the duties of the corresponding author as described above. If serious problems with the work are identified, all authors have an obligation to notify the journal and correct mistakes or request retractions within the framework laid out at Corrections and Retractions.Ĭo-authors are immediately notified by email of any manuscript submission on which they are listed as an author.
